Director of Education Rick Boisvert is retiring at the end of this school year after serving the Northwest Catholic District School Board since September, 2013.
The board regretfully accepted his letter of resignation for the purpose of retirement at its regular monthly meeting Jan. 17.
Boisvert previously had worked for the Waterloo Catholic District School Board for 28 years.
There, he served as a teacher, principal, superintendent of education, acting director of education, and associate director of education before coming to Fort Frances.
“We respect Rick’s decision to retire at the end of the school year,” said local Catholic board chair David Sharp.
“He has worked hard to ensure that Gospel values are front and centre in all that we do as a system,” Sharp added.
“The board wishes him well as he starts a new chapter in his life.”
