It was a horseshoes and hand grenades kind of night for Team Red, except with all the ringers and none of the explosions.
John Sivonen netted 33 points as Team Red (5-6) eked out a 77-76 win over previously-undefeated Team Black in Fort Frances Men’s Basketball League action Monday night at Fort High.
Josh Mastin led Team Black (9-1) with 33 points of his own.
Team Red then walked the highwire one more time and again survived—nipping Team White 80-79 in the nightcap.
Brad Wordas had a team-high 26 for Team Red, with Sivonen clinching the victory with a buzzer-beating three-pointer.
Jake McIntosh drained a game-high 41 points for Team White (2-9).
Action resumes this Monday at 7 p.m. at Fort High.
