“Orange Shirt Day,” an event to honour the children who survived the Indian residential schools and remember those who didn’t, will be observed on Monday, Sept. 30 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the UNFC Circle of Life Centre (616 Mowat Ave.). The fourth-annual “Orange Shirt Day” awareness walk will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at Rainy River First Nations. Everyone is welcome to gather at 10 a.m. at the Indian residential school monument on Hwy. 11. The walk will take place starting at 10:30 a.m., proceeding from the monument to the pow-wow grounds.
