The annual Gordie Dunville Memorial mixed darts tournament, held last Friday and Saturday at the Fort Frances Legion, welcomed dozens of participants.
The two-day affair enjoyed a great blend of stiff competition and relaxed fun.
On Friday night, the team of Charlie Roy and Janice Kenty clinched the mixed doubles competition while Saturday saw teams from Thunder Bay sweep the top spots.
Boyd Wade and Terri Guerts claimed the $500 prize for the doubles event while the squad of John Rutherford, Christine Stark, Dwight Cormier, and Liz Briand split their $800 prize for earning the team competition title.
Marg McPherson, the local Legion’s sports representative, thanked all the volunteers and sponsors who made the annual tournament possible.
