Adrienne McCulloch, 65, of Barwick, Ont., passed away unexpectedly Aug. 9, 1997 while visiting in Grand Prairie, Alta.
Adrienne was a member of the Stratton United Church, where she helped with Sunday School when able.
Adrienne had a positive outlook on life. She struggled for many years with bad health, including having to be fitted with an artificial limb, but this never kept her from enjoying her life. She loved to travel with her husband, Donald, and often they took their grandchildren with them.
Adrienne was always happiest around children; when she volunteered at Sturgeon Creek School, every child there called her “Grandma.”
Adrienne will be sadly missed and always remembered by her husband, Donald McCulloch, of Barwick, Ont.; his younger brother, Lorne (Ruth) of Manitouwadge, who Adrienne took into her home and heart when he lost his mother at the age of 10; her son, John (Eline) of Maple Ridge, B.C.; her son, Hugh, of Edmonton, Alta.; her daughter, Margaret (Sean) of Thunder Bay, Ont.; her ex son-in-law, Paul (Donna) of Stratton, Ont.; her grandchildren, Justin, Mark, Terra, Teresa, Brady, and Kaylee of Stratton, Ont.; granddaughter, Nicole, of Thunder Bay, Ont.; granddaughter, Dana, of Fort Frances, Ont.; Lorne’s children, Shannon and Glenda in Alberta, and Tara and Darren of Manitouwadge; her father, Gordon Melvin, of Valleyview, Alta.; brother, Hugh (Sal) of Valleyview, Alta.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place.
A prayer service will be held at the Stratton United Church on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 1997 at 7 p.m. The memorial service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 21,1997 at 2 p.m. at the Barwick Hall.
Should friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
Adrienne, you will never be far from our thoughts and always in our hearts. We love and will miss you!
