The Muskie junior boys’ basketball team is hosting a three-game exhibition series, facing the Kenora Broncos today (Dec. 15) at 2 p.m. before playing the Dryden Eagles at 8 p.m. and then the Churchill Trojans tomorrow at 11 a.m.

A “Christmas Artisans Show,” organized by the Fort Frances Museum, will be held Sunday, Dec. 17 from 2-9 p.m. in the cafeteria at Fort Frances High School. A portion of the proceeds will go towards museum renovations.
“A Glorious Christmas,” the fourth and final concert featuring Diane Maxey’s Choraliers and the Borderland Community Orchestra, will be held Sunday, Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. at the Townshend Theatre (a reminder this performance already is sold out).
The “Longest Night” service, a time for sharing the pain and the hope of the holiday season, will be held Sunday, Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. at Knox United Church. All are welcome to attend.
Town council will hold its next regular meeting Monday, Dec. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Civic Centre (a week earlier than normal due to the Christmas holiday). The committee of the whole will meet first at 5:30, but is expected to be in-camera until 6.
