Yvonne Person

Yvonne Person, 89, of 1301 Elizabeth St. E., Fort Frances, Ont., passed away Saturday, July 20, 2002 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances.
She was born May 17, 1913 in Rainy River, Ont. to the late Henri and Melina Beauregard. As a young child, Yvonne moved with her family to Fort Frances.
She studied music when she was young, and received first class honours from the Toronto Conservatory of Music. She loved her music and gave piano lessons for many years.
Yvonne was united in marriage to her first husband, Walter “Chub” Green, who predeceased her in 1957. She later married John “Swede” Person, who predeceased her in 1982.
Yvonne was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church and the C.W.L. She enjoyed bowling for many years, as well as knitting and cooking.
Yvonne also loved the outdoors, especially her daily walks by the river. She also enjoyed the many hours she spent with her friends at Elizabeth Manor.
She was predeceased by one son, Robert “Bob” Green in 1999; and one sister, Ruby Gange.
Yvonne is survived by four daughters, Loraine and husband, Jack Somerville, Shirley Card, Nancy Gladu, and Jo Ann Gushulak, all of Fort Frances, Ont.; one son, Michael Green of Thunder Bay, Ont.; one daughter-in-law, Rosemarie Green of Fort Frances; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by two brothers, Cliff Beauregard and wife, Pat, of Atikokan, Ont., and Roy Beauregard and wife, Ruby, of Kenewick, Wash.; two sisters, Dorothy McNabb of Fort Frances, Ont., and Lavone and husband, “Bob” McNabb, of Victoria, B.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be held Saturday, July 27, 2002 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Fort Frances, with Fr. Rey Ronquillo officiating.
Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Frances at a later date.
Honourary pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jonathan Green, Chris Gushulak, Romain Gladu, Travis Gladu, Jeremiah Gladu, Bradley Card, and Robert Card.

She was the greatest mom and grandmother, and will be missed by her family and many friends.
