Winona Elizabeth Quarterman, R.N., (nee Morphet), a graduate of KGH School of Nursing in 1946 and a retired nurse with Alcan, peacefully passed away at Providence Manor in Kingston, on Friday, Sept. 29, 2006 in her 83rd year.
She was the beloved wife of the late Howard Quarterman; and loving mother of William Quarterman (Anne) of Barrie, Ont., Robert Quarterman (Dale) of Kingston, Ont., and Jayne Gibson (Dan) of Kingston, Ont.
Affectionately known as “Nana” to grandchildren, Trisha and Justin, Christina and Katie, and Nicole and Sean.
She was predeceased by her parents, William and Sophora Morphet; and brother, Murray Morphet.
Resting at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel, 1900 John Counter Blvd., in Kingston.
Funeral service was held on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the Cataraqui Chapel at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston, Ont., with Rev. H. Peter Schaub officiating.
Interment in Cataraqui Cemetery.
