Bud Moore, loving husband of Joyce for 58 years, as well as father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the age of 81 at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, Ont. after a sudden and unexpected illness.
Bud was born to John Mortimer (Jip) and Olive Jane (Wilson) Moore on Dec. 18, 1937 in Sudbury, Ont., spending much of his childhood in his much-beloved Barwick, Ont.
He was married to Joyce Bonus on Aug.13, 1960.
Bud was father to John and Shelley; proud grandpa to Joseph (son of Andre and Shelley); and step-grandpa Wow to Katelynn.
Bud is survived by his wife, children, and grandson; as well as sister, Janis, and her husband, Jack.
Bud also will be missed deeply by many nieces and nephews; and well as other family and close friends.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Joan and Ann.
Bud was a passionate, long-time veteran in the Ontario car industry, working until just weeks before his sudden illness. He was well-known for his expertise, loyalty, passion, energy, quick wit, and his love for his many Shih Tzu pets.
Friends may call at the Innisfil Funeral Home, 7910 Yonge St. in Stroud, Ont., on Friday, March 22, 2019 from noon until the time of memorial service at 1 p.m.
Cremation has taken place.
As an expression of sympathy, in memoriam donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
