WILLIAM ‘BILL’ GOW

William “Bill” Gow, 87, of International Falls, Mn., passed away Friday, Jan. 20, 2012 at his home.
He was born April 2, 1924 at St. Boniface, Man. He graduated from the University of Manitoba and was employed as an electrical engineer at Boise Cascade.
Bill was united in marriage to the former Marion Ruth Williams on Sept. 20, 1952. She predeceased him in 2005.
His hobbies included golfing, a love of airplanes, spending time at the lake, and time spent with his family and coffee buddies.
Bill was a former president of the Border Shrine Club and a member of the Fort Frances school board.
He also was predeceased by his parents, James and Janet Gow; sister, Helen Johnston; brother, James Gow; and infant son, James Frederick Gow.
Survivors include his son, Douglas (Nina) Gow of Roswell, Ga.; daughter, Janet Bowman of Wayzata, Mn.; grandchildren, Marie and Bill Gow, and Jacob, Rachel, and Ben Bowman; and a brother, Jack Gow of Victoria, B.C.
In addition, Bill had other very special relatives that survive him and meant a great deal to him.
Memorial services was conducted Jan. 24, 2012 at Faith United Church of Christ in International Falls.
