WAYNE ROBERT JOHNSON

Wayne Johnson, of Thunder Bay, Ont., passed away peacefully on Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital at the age of 54.
He was born July 16, 1958 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
He attended Robert Moore School and Fort Frances High School. After graduation, he was employed by CN Rail, holding many various positions for 33 years.
Wayne enjoyed wood carving, spending quiet time with God’s creatures, and watching his favourite TV shows, “Storage Wars,” “Canadian Pickers,” and “Duck Dynasty.”
He is survived by his two daughters, Shannon and Tammy Johnson; mother, Venna Johnston (Gawryluk); stepfather, Alex Gawryluk; and siblings, Laura (Dave) McGill, Linda (Peter) Ross, Harold Johnson, Raili (Howard) Dodd, Myrna (Dan) Mainville, Arnold (Kathy) Johnson, and Harvey (Joan) Johnson.
He also was Uncle Awesome to many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Taisto Johnson.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Fort Frances, with Rev. Diane Clifford officiating.
