Walter Daniel Hampshire, of 4324 Gordon Dr., Kelowna, B.C., passed away June 5, 1999 at his residence. He was born Jan. 19, 1917 in Fort Frances, Ont.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Rose Dumeney; his parents, Louisa and Daniel Hampshire; and his sister, Jean Sybasko on Dec. 22, 1998.
He is survived by his wife, Madelaine of Kelowna; his daughter, Penny Robitaille of Greenfield Park, Que.; and his sister, Dorcas King of Fort Frances.
Three stepdaughters and one stepson also survive, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will take place June 10, 1999 at 2 p.m. in Kelowna.
