Wallace Densmore Allan

In loving memory of Wallace Densmore Allan, 77, of Emo, Ont., who passed away peacefully Friday, March 23, 2001 at the Emo Hospital.
Wallace will be greatly missed by his wife, Gladys; children, Marilyn McNally (Les), Sharon McNally (Les), Lorraine Loveday (Ken), Norma Both (Ron), and Gerald Allan (Wendy); grandchildren, Lyndon McNally, Marlene Ritchie (Gordon), Dawn McNally (Loren), Wallace McNally (Teresa), Audrey Nguyen (Trung), Randy McNally (Patty), Tammy Strachan (Glen), Michelle Anderson (Rob), Gary Loveday (Michelle), Allan Loveday (Julie), Christine Loveday (Brent), Murray Both, Larry Both, Sandra Both, Christopher Allan, Justin Allan, and Matthew Allan; 31 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are brother, Harold Allen; sisters-in-law, Alice Allen and Eileen Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Helen; brothers, Cecil, Stan, Len, Ralph, and Doug; sisters, Blanche, Elsie, Helen, and May; son-in-law, Donald McNally; grandson, Keith McNally; and great-grandson, Allan Ritchie.
Wallace was born June 30, 1923 in Carpenter Township on the family farm. He lived and worked in Rainy River District his entire life. On April 8, 1943, he was united in marriage to Gladys Martin.
Wallace worked very hard, during the day in the logging industry, evenings on the farm. His greatest enjoyment was time spent with his grandchildren.
After selling the farm and moving to Emo, he enjoyed going for drives in the country with his brother, Ralph, and their dogs.
A visitation was held Monday, March 26, 2001 from 7 until 8 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, Ont.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 27, 2001 at 2 p.m. at the Knox United Church in Emo, Ont., with Rev. Frances Flook officiating.
Interment will take place in the Emo Cemetery in Emo at a later date.
Pallbearers were his grandsons, Lyndon McNally, Randy McNally, Gary Loveday, Allan Loveday, Murray Both, Larry Both, Wallace McNally, and Christopher Allan.
Honourary pallbearers were his grandchildren, Marlene Ritchie, Dawn McNally, Audrey Nguyen, Tammy Strachan, Michelle Ander-son, Christine Loveday, Sandra Both, Justin Allan, and Matthew Allan.
