Vivian MacDonald, 87, of Rainycrest Home for the Aged, 550 Osborne St., Fort Frances, Ont., passed away at her residence Monday, Oct., 25, 1999.
She was born Aug. 4, 1912 in Rainy River, Ont. to the late James and Mary Tyne.
Vivian moved to Fort Frances during her youth. In September of 1936, she was united to Bill MacDonald in Fort Frances. Vivian was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church and a charter member of the C.W.L. in Fort Frances.
For enjoyment, she loved to read and sew.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bill MacDonald, on Nov. 13, 1982.
Vivian is survived by her son, Jim MacDonald and wife, Linda, of Fort Frances, Ont.; and by one sister, Adelle and husband, Harry Johnson, of International Falls, Mn.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999 at 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Fort Frances. Father James Panikulam will officiate, with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Frances.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999 from 7 until 8 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances. The C.W.L. Rosary will be offered at 7:30 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Lawrence Eustace, Cliff Huber, Bill Johnson, Jim Pochailo, Larry Phillips, and Bert O’Donnell.
