VINCENT LINO GASPARINI

With deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Vincent Lino
Gasparini on Friday, August 4, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Fort Frances, Ontario to Vincent and Eliza Gasparini on March
11, 1932. Lino was raised and lived his entire life in Fort Frances where he built a large circle of close and lasting friendships.
He was united in marriage to Faye [Smith], his lifetime companion on June 17, 1953.
Following high school, Lino began his working life at the former Mando Paper mill in 1950 (currently Abititi Consolidated). He was a papermaker until his retirement in 1991. Lino enjoyed a further eight years of consulting work providing production and product support within the paper industry, enabling him to gradually move on to his true
passion of spending time at the family cabin on Nowhere Island, Rainy Lake. Throughout his life, Lino was spirited in his involvement with recreational and creative pursuits playing hockey and football in his younger years and later with woodworking and construction projects that always seemed to be a common activity at the lake. Lino especially
enjoyed the companionship that grew from his love of the outdoors, most notably through his many hunting and fishing friendships. The time spent and shared with his children and grandchildren were his greatest pleasures.
Lino will be lovingly remembered in the hearts of his family. He is survived by his wife Faye; sons Steven [Tina] Gasparini of Anchorage, Alaska; Christopher [Cindy] Gasparini of Kenora, ON; and daughter Lisa [Gary] Teeple of Blackhawk, ON and grandchildren; Taryn and Carli Gasparini of Aurora, Colorado; Kaitlyn and Erin Gasparini of Kenora, ON and Jeff Teeple of Blackhawk, ON. Lino is also survived by his sister
Louise [Paul] Sabourin of London, ON, and children Tom Sabourin, Paula Edwards and John Sabourin; sister Linda Gasparini of Toronto, ON; brother John [Kathleen] Gasparini of Grand Forks, North Dakota and children Tony, Andrew, and Joe Gasparini, sister Stephanie Gasparini of Thunder Bay, ON, sister-in-law Barbara Ballan of Port Alberni, B.C. and brotherin-laws Keith Smith and Randy Smith of Fort
Frances, ON. Lino will also be dearly missed by his extended family Olympia [Joe] Benassi of International Falls, MN; Raymond [Lyla] Coran, and Toni Edgett of Fort Frances, ON.
