VICTORIA MARGARET CECILIA TOPP (JOURDAIN)

April 25, 1954 – February 13, 2024

Victoria Margaret Cecilia Topp (Jourdain) passed away February 13, 2024. She was the daughter of Moses and Regina Jourdain of Couchiching Reserve. Victoria also lived in Fort Frances, Ontario, and Winnipeg, Manitoba. It is with great sorrow that Victoria passed away peacefully in her home after a long valiant battle with lung cancer.

She is survived by her four children Mike (Aime), Michelle (Rick), Joe (Brandy) and Karyn (Peter IV). She is also survived by her grandchildren Harley and Samantha, Quentin, Adam, Aaron, Jenny, Chloe, Matthew, Makaila and Peter V; as well as great-grandchildren Mary Jane and Cleo.

Victoria is also survived by siblings Melvin, Wilma, Everett, Evelyn, and Louie.

Victoria will be dancing away up in heaven with her parents and her siblings Gladys, Douglas, Marlene, Calvin Bill and Duane.

Victoria retired from cleaning and took great pride in taking care of our members. She also loved playing Bingo, playing cards and dice games with family and friends. She adored her grandchildren, as they brought joy to her heart. Victoria was the type who would give you her last anything even if she needed it more. Some might say she was stubborn, but she was also very kind and her smile would light a room. She will be dearly missed but we know she will be watching over all of us and most of all she will be pain free. Victoria was also a survivor of the Residential School and she is forever a strong beautiful soul.

Funeral service was held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Couchiching First Nation Multi-Use Facility at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.

Arrangements entrusted to Northridge Funeral Home Ltd., Emo, Ontario.
