It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Victor Tolen announces his passing on Monday, June 29, 2009 at the Rainy River Health Centre in Rainy River, Ont.
He was born March 9, 1922 in Gameland, Ont. to Anna (nee Anderson) and John Tolen.
Vic is survived by his loving wife, Dorothea (nee Marquardt); and four children, Gary and wife, Joyanne, Sandy and husband, Jim Hogan, Brad and wife, Doreen, and Cindy and companion, Rick Westberg.
Victor also will be sadly missed by his seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; as well as his sister, Joyce and husband, Peter Albright.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 3, 2009 at 1 p.m. at the Northridge Funeral Home in Emo, Ont., with Pastor Carolyn Kreger officiating.
Interment took place in Blue Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Donald Tolen, Robert Tolen, Steve Hogan, Mike Bourre, Rick Bourre, and Wayne Sandmoen.
The honourary pallbearers were Kim Beaudry, Kerri Tolen, Kelly Wagar, Kristina Pizzi, Charlotte Hogan, and Rebecca Tolen.
