Verona Gosselin passed away on November 9, 2022.
Verona was born October 30, 1934, in Fort Frances, Ontario. She leaves to mourn her son Tracy M and daughter in-law Gail Gosselin; two grandsons Paul Gosselin (Anna) and Dustin Gosselin (Micca); as well as seven great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her sister Rita (Robert) Matheson of Calgary, Alberta; and by nieces Laurie (Albert) Bedard and daughter Ravyn of Fort Frances, Ontario, Janine (Marc) Stallings of California and other nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Henry Gosselin; daughter Cheryl Lynn; parents Nicholas and Jennie Boresiuk; and brother Walter Boresiuk. Verona grew up in Fort Frances and attended Fort Frances High School where she met her best friend, Henry. They married in August 1957. Verona was a full-time homemaker but did various part-time jobs once her kids were older. Verona was a great listener and confidante, always there when you needed someone. Verona was a kind, good-hearted person and will be greatly missed.
Verona was an avid baker and cook, she loved to make homemade pickles, her canned pickled beet recipe will never be forgotten, as well as her chocolate cake recipe which is and always will be one of the family favourites. Verona loved doing crafts, she was extremely gifted at ceramics, knitting and crocheting and all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren are blessed to have beautiful afghans to remember her by.
Cremation has taken place. In respect of Verona’s wishes, a private interment for immediate family will be held at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Donations may also be made to Rescue Siamese Cat Shelter, 38 Barberry Rd, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R2J 2G9 in Verona’s honour.
