VERNA IRENE CLINK

After a long battle with cancer, Verna Irene Clink, 88, of 1301 Elizabeth St., Fort Frances, Ont., went to be with her Lord on Dec. 10, 1998.
Verna was born at her home in Shenston, Ont. on April 2, 1910.
After graduating from Western Pentecostal Bible College in 1937, Verna devoted most of her life to pastoring in a number of churches in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Northwestern Ontario. She was ordained by the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada and spent 50 years of her life in the ministry.
During the Second World War, Verna worked at the Canada Car airplane manufacturing plant in Fort William, Ont.
Verna loved dogs and attended dog shows whenever possible. She was an avid photographer, and also enjoyed cooking and baking for her friends and family.
She was predeceased by her parents, William and Maria Clink; a half-brother, David, half-sisters, Violet Schoff and Elsie Ogden; sister, Leila Hooker; and brothers, Gordon and Floyd Clink.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at Calvary Tabernacle in Fort Frances on Dec. 14, 1998 with Pastor Steve Laing officiating. Interment was in Barwick Cemetery.
