TRACY HELEN HOUGHTON

Tracy Helen Houghton (Geravelis) of Fort Frances, Ont., formerly of Thunder Bay, Ont., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010 surrounded by family and friends after a long, hard-fought battle with lupus.
She was born in Thunder Bay on Aug. 8, 1958.
Tracy was a hairstylist in Thunder Bay for 30 years before relocating to Fort Frances with her husband, Brad, in 2004.
She is survived by her daughter, Jacki-Lyn; husband, Brad; parents, Jack and Sylvia; brother, Ed (Betty); in-laws, Brian and Karen Houghton; sister-in-law, Melanie Lehman (Dave); and godfather, Louie Geravelis.
Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as many close friends, and her special buddy, “Trigger,” also survive.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland St., Thunder Bay, officiated by Pastor Matthew Diegel of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.
Visitation for family and friends was held one hour prior to the service.
Interment in Mountain View Cemetery to take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, in memoriam donations to the Canadian Lupus Society, or to the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society, would be greatly appreciated.
