Thomas Piotrowski passed away suddenly, at the age of 72, on Friday, Nov. 20, 2015 in Fort Frances, Ont.
He was born July 6, 1943 in Fort Frances.
As co-owner, along with his brother, Joe, of J&P Electronics, Tom was well-known as the “TV man.”
Many of you also know him as that karaoke singer and also longtime caretaker of the Fort Frances Children’s Complex.
Tom enjoyed many frequent vacations with his son and daughter on multiple locations throughout the United States.
As per his wishes, his ashes will be scattered at one of his favourite locations at the ocean in Washington state.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jan and Wanda Piotrowski; brother, Joe; and sister, Mary.
He is survived by his son, Kevin (Christina) Piotrowski of Buckley, Wash; daughter, Adele Piotrowski of Kirkland, Wash.; brothers, Carl (Norma) Piotrowski and Peter (Sharron) Piotrowski; and sister, Beverly (Bogdan) Fraczkiewicz, all of Fort Frances, Ont.
Tom also is survived by his grandsons, Christopher Piotrowski of Maple Valley, Wash., Danny (Holly) Piotrowski, and great-grandson, Connor, of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and Charles Tilander of Seattle, Wash.; as well as several cousins and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial was held in Washington state with his children and grandchildren in attendance.
As per Tom’s request, immediate family members will be holding their own private memorial.
A celebration of life is scheduled for all who wish to attend on Friday, Dec. 4, 2015 from 1-4 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion in Fort Frances.
In lieu of flowers, Tom very much enjoyed singing karaoke and prided himself on getting more than 80 new people to overcome their fear to sing onstage for the first time.
So please just sing a song (in private is OK).
TOM PIOTROWSKI
