It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Timothy Ronald Grynol (TRG) at the Health Science Centre in Winnipeg on June 29, 2008 at the age of 47 years.
Tim was employed by the Town of Fort Frances for the past 27 years. He had currently accomplished several upgrading to his education to provide the town with water and sewer distribution. He took great pride in achieving his certification.
Tim’s children were his pride and joy. He was always so proud of each of them, whether it was hockey, hunting, school, or just being who they were.
Tim’s passion in life was the times he spent in a boat fishing, or hunting with family and friends. Michelle and Tim could always be found on a boat, in some inland lake, where fishing was always best. Tim would say, “If it was harder to get to, the fishing had to be better.”
Tim’s true passion was hunting with his best friend Milt Strachan, his father Ed, and his sons, Aaron and Scott.
Tim was the most dedicated father, husband, son, brother and uncle he could be. Family was always the most important thing to Tim. His honesty and integrity were noted by all who knew him. Tim always had a song for everyone, but the elite group would get Tim’s special version of the song.
Tim is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 19 years and best friend Michelle, and his three children, Aaron, Scott, and Jonna.
Tim is survived by his parents Edward and Lenore Grynol; brothers Edward and wife Nancy and their children, Trevor, Robin, and Penny; and brother Kenny and his son, Nathan.
Also surviving is his Aunt Mayva McFayden and Uncle Ken; Aunt Deloris and Buzz Wickstrom; Aunt Eileen and Jim Davis; Aunt Marie and Cousin Wendy McDiarmid; and many great nieces and nephews.
Tim is also survived by his in-laws, Donna and Pat Daub, Monique and husband Jeff Storrey, Matt and wife Karen Daub; nieces Sarah, Randi, and Kelley Teeple; and nephew Griffen Daub.
Funeral services will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Friday, July 4, 2008 at 11 a.m., with Father Francis Puddicherry officiating. Visitation will take place prior to the service at 10 a.m. Refreshments will be served immediately after the service in the basement of the church.
Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Honourary pallbearers will be Edward Grynol, Kenny Grynol, Milt Strachan, Rob Barnard, Jeff Steinke, John Sivonen, Evan Woodland, Curtis Wickstrom, Matt Daub, Barry Mosbeck, Jack Fiset, Donny McCool, John Krukoski, Mike Strain, Jeff Storrey, and David Grinsell.
Donations may be made in honour of Tim’s name to the Heart and Stroke Association, and the Diabetes Association.
We’ll never forget you Dad/Immy, or the things that you once did;
The brother, the father, the humorous “kid.”
The smiles, the laughter, or the stories you once told,
remain in our hearts forever, and forever we will hold.
The love you had to offer and the advice you had to give
These are our reason’s we’ll continue to live.
The father who cared so deeply and true, who loved us and taught us,
and always followed through.
The husband who offered and loved beyond belief,
the Best Friend you cherished and the little brother
you couldn’t help but love.
Your happy way of living, everyone could see
We’re not about to say goodbye, because together again we’ll all be
So rest in peace our friend, we know you’re watching over us,
until the very end.
“May you fish where there are no slot sizes, and no Ukrainian limit. And what’s brown is down, and what’s black is in the back.”
