Thomas Roen, 52, of Fort Frances, ON passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 5, 2020. He is survived by his parents Howard and Evelyn (Halvorsen) Roen; children Tom (TJ), Jessica, Julia; and grandson Greyson. He is also survived by his brothers Ken, Duane (Tracy) and Kevin (Tara); along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Tom was predeceased by his son Jason Roen.
Tom was born in Emo, ON on August 14, 1967. He spent much of his adult life working at the paper mill. He was a multi-talented man who enjoyed logging and carpentry (construction). He spent much of his free time repairing old vehicles and his favourite was his blue Plymouth `cuda. Tom had a passion for hunting and was an excellent marksman. He also spent considerable time working on the lakes but believed that time on the lake never felt like work. Tom never hesitated to help anyone with a project and will be remembered as a hard working, ambitious man.
Tom loved spending time with his family and, once old enough, instilled a strong work ethic in them as well. Whether it was at our family homestead bird hunting, sledding or fishing on Lac Seul, he wanted his family by his side as much as possible enjoying all of the beauty nature had to offer. He loved his family very much and was extremely proud of them.
Due to present circumstances a service will not be held at this time. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to a charity of your choosing.
