THERESE BRUNEAU

Therese Bruneau quietly slipped away, after a short illness, on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013 at her home in Rainycrest Long-Term Care in Fort Frances, Ont. at the age of 91.
She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Bruneau; son, Claude Bruneau; and was the last of her five siblings.
Born in rural Manitoba, Therese was educated as a nurse in Manitoba and came to Fort Frances to work in her chosen profession. Here she met Albert and soon was married and produced four children, Jeannette DeGagne (Melvin) of Fort Frances, Ont., Rose Cousineau of San Jose, Calif., Edward Bruneau (Linda) of Thunder Bay, Ont., and Claude Bruneau (now deceased).
She is survived by her grandchildren, Bryan DeGagne (Paula) of Alberta, Rheal DeGagne (Wendy), Denise Hedlund (Rickard) of Winnipeg, Man., Nicole Bowen (Ryan) of Kenora, Ont., Corey Cousineau (Natalie), Laureen Peters (Andy), and Katherine Frape (Justin) of Thunder Bay, Ont., and Amanda Maxwell (Robin) of Walkerton, Ont.; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Chelsey, Evan, Madisyn, Maighyn, Lucas, Gabriel, Sullivan, Hazel, Sierra, Peyton, Lynden, Lennox, Malcolm, and Hannah; and great-great grandson, Cohen.
Therese loved to be surrounded by people and flourished in her two years at Rainycrest as a result.
Through her whole life, she took great personal pleasure in giving to others in the form of many small acts of kindness. Her consistent warm, positive attitude towards everyone made her well-liked and stand out in the crowd.
All of her time was spent fulfilling the needs of her family. Her humble approach to life was clearly evident and appreciated by her family and all those she touched.
In respect to her wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no graveside funeral service.
A private family gathering will be held to celebrate her life.
If desired, in memoriam donations may be made to the Rainycrest Auxiliary.
