Thelma Fadden, formerly of Emo, Ont., passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009 at the Rainy River Health Centre Long-Term Care at the age of 77.
Thelma was born Sept. 9, 1931 in Morson, Ont. to the late Hugh and Blanche Morrison. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Fadden in 1952, and together they resided and raised their family in Morson.
She will be fondly remembered for her love of cooking, baking, and crocheting, and often was known as the “Pie Lady.” Thelma worked for the Reel-em-inn Lodge in Morson for more than 40 years, and was a valued member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Lawrence (Colleen) of Morson, Ont. and Murray (Carol) of Dryden, Ont.; and sadly missed by her grandchildren, Michelle, Angie, Jackie, Neil, and Trina, and great-grandchildren, Kale, Jacob, Tatum, Kennedy, and Peyton.
Thelma was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd; son, Ray; grandson, Bobby; and great-grandson, Jaden.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Morson at a later date.
Interment will take place in Morson Cemetery.
