Terry Roy Fitz Randolph, known to many as “Chief,” passed away on June 9, 2026, at Sanford Medical Center in Bemidji, Minnesota. His passing marks the loss of a beloved brother, devoted friend, proud veteran, and tireless advocate for fellow servicemen and women. Throughout his life, Terry embodied service, leadership, and generosity, leaving a lasting impact on his family, community, and the veterans he served.
Born to Donald and Virginia (Kosht) Randolph in Jefferson, Iowa, Terry spent his childhood in several communities throughout Iowa and Minnesota, including Jefferson, Guthrie Center, Stratford, Indianola, Pine City, International Falls, and Ranier. It was on Jackfish Bay, near International Falls, where he developed a deep appreciation for the water that would help shape the course of his life.
After graduating from Falls Senior High School in 1965, Terry answered the call to serve by joining the United States Navy in April 1966. He retired from the Navy in April 1988.

Above all, Terry valued family, friendship, and service to others. He took great joy in spending time with family, creating memories that will be treasured for years to come. He will be remembered for his steadfast loyalty, sense of duty, love of country, and unwavering commitment to helping others.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Green-Larsen Mortuary in International Falls. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather for lunch at the Peter Graham VFW Post 2948.
Interment will take place at the Randolph family plot in Union Cemetery in Guthrie Center, Iowa.
