TERRY LYNN DOLK

With great sadness, the family of Terry Lynn Dolk announces his passing on January 25, 2022. Terry was born October 28, 1948, in Fort Frances Ontario, a few minutes ahead of his twin brother Larry. Terry was the middle of five children. He married Mary (Bilinsky) on May 6, 1972.

Left to mourn him is Mary; their children Todd (Dee), Kristina (Peter); granddaughter Madison; and his siblings Dennis (Lynn), Karl (Judy), Larry (Jan), Trudy (Andy) and their families.

Terry is pre-deceased by his parents Ray and Sarah.

Terry lived his entire life in Fort Frances. Terry worked in autobody repair for many years. His workmanship and eye for detail was unrivalled, and many people specifically requested he work on their vehicles. Terry was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting in all seasons. When he could, he loved to take his family fishing, often heading back to his secret spots that had served him well all his life. Sometimes needing the special tricks, like spitting on his jig, he never disappointed us by not finding fish to catch. He took up golf later in life and could be found at the golf course most days in his retirement. Known as “Flappy” to his close friends, he was always seen with a smile and was a pleasure to be around.

Terry’s wealth was in his friendships and family. He enjoyed spending time with people and he loved to tell jokes! Most of the time he’d greet you with a new one he had heard or in a pinch would bring up an old favourite. You were best to always say you never heard it because he would tell it anyway and loved to laugh at them as much as you did. His endless stories and jokes will never be forgotten. We miss you and will keep you in our hearts for ever.

A service of celebration and remembrance will be held in the spring when people can meet.
