It is with great sadness that the family of Stephanie Rae Tremblay announces her passing on Friday, June 25, 2021.

Stephanie was born on January 29, 1970 in Fort Frances, Ont. to Lester and Diane Mainville. She grew up in Couchiching First Nation and while she lived all over Canada her heart was always at home with her family. She returned to her community five years ago and enjoyed visiting with neighbours, spending time with her parents, siblings and their families. She loved to spend time with her family, playing Bingo with her Aunties, sitting on the deck sharing stories, smiles and laughs.

She will be greatly missed by her husband Yves; children Galan Mainville, Joshua Wright (Jamie) and their children Natalee and Everlee, Stephane Mainville (Karlee) and their children Kale, Kolton and Brodie; parents Lester and Diane Mainville; siblings Christian Mainville (Jamie), Aimee Lyon (Mike), Rhain Mainville, Brook Mainville (Chantelle) and Cyrene Mainville and their families. She also leaves behind a numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Stephanie was predeceased by her son Gilbert and many aunts and uncles.

A traditional wake will be held at the Couchiching First Nation Multi Use on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 6:30 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the Couchiching First Nation Multi Use Facility.

COVID-19 restrictions will be in place including limiting attendees to a maximum of 50 people and asking everyone to wear masks and follow social distancing requirements.

The pallbearers will be Stephane Mainville, Joshua Wright, Mike McDonald, Braydon Lyon, Cole Calder and Rhain Mainville.
