STANLEY McDONALD

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Stanley McDonald, formerly of La Vallee, Ont., on Oct. 21, 2006 at Versa Care Home in Thunder Bay, Ont. at the age of 86.
Stan was born in Kingsford Township (Emo) and married at a young age to his sweetheart, Elva. Together they raised their 10 children.
Stan hauled pulp with his own truck and was a hard worker. He had many friends, liked country music, and sang for family and friends as all his children do.
Stan and Elva left La Vallee and retired in British Columbia to be near some of his family. Elva later passed away and Stan came back to Northwestern Ontario to an apartment at Kakabeka Falls.
He liked to hunt birds and walk in the bush, as well as drive his old truck, visit friends, and play pool. His health had been failing for several years.
He will be sadly missed by his children, Hill & Mary Lou, Les, Marilyn & Curtis, Arvella & Wayne, Alvin & Fay, Terry & Robin, Wayne & Maria, Randy & Dolly, Bonni Jean & Jim, and Darleen & Brian, and families; a brother, Ken; and sister, Jean Bolen.
He was predeceased by his wife, Elva; his parents, Bill and Clara McDonald; brothers, Ronald, Colin, Frank, Don, Merle, and Rod; two sisters, Mildred Loveday and Lena St. Amand; and sisters-in-law, Pat (Ken) and Lillian (Rod).
A graveside service for family will be held Friday, Nov. 10, 2006 at 1 p.m. at the Devlin Cemetery.
