Shirley Ann Welsh, who was born Dec. 4, 1962 in Steinbach, Man., passed away Friday, June 19, 2009 in Ottawa, Ont.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Dean; three daughters, Tammy (Ras), Tannis (Earl), and Stacey (Paul); and six grandchildren.
She also is survived by her mother, Helena Sokil of Fort Frances, Ont.; brothers, Abe Deroche of Winnipeg, Man., Richard (Mary) Sawatzky of Thunder Bay, Ont., and Lloyd (Shannon) Walker of Fort Frances, Ont.; sisters, Judy Remple of Steinbach, Man., Jeannie Doerksen and Jeanette Small of Fort Frances, Ont., and Diane Walker of Arnprior, Ont.; and several nieces and nephews.
Shirley was predeceased by her stepfather, John Sokil of Fort Frances, Ont., on Jan. 13, 2006.

A private family service has been held.
