SHIRLEY MAE LIND

Sadly, on Friday, Feb. 19, 2010 at St. Mary Hospital in Duluth, Mn., Shirley M. Lind of Fort Frances, Ont., formerly of Emo, Ont., passed away at the age of 80.
Shirley was born in Fort Frances on March 13, 1929 to the late Ivan and Dorothy Cunningham.
She was united in marriage to Vernon Lind on June 21, 1940. She worked for many years for the Emo Hospital cleaning.
Shirley will be fondly remembered for her love of cards, especially, crib, her knitting, and her regular trips to the casino.
She is survived by her daughters, Judy Kozachenko and Bonnie (Donald) Tracey; sons, Victor (Donna) and Wesley; daughter, Terry (William) Johnson; 16 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
Shirley also is survived by her siblings, Clifford (Marie) Cunningham, Bev (Joe) Kozachenko, and Wayne (Claudia) Cunningham; sister-in-law, Val Cunningham; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Ivan and Dorothy; husband, Vernon; brother, Bob Cunningham; and son-in-law, Byrtle Kozachenko.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday Feb. 23, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion in Fort Frances, with Pastor Eric Marx officiating.
Interment will take place in Emo Cemetry in Emo at a later date.
