Shirley “Claire” Brennard, 65, of International Falls, Mn., passed away suddenly on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003 at her home.
She was born May 5, 1938 in Emo, Ont. She grew up and attended school in Fort Frances, Ont.
Shirley worked in the deli area of Frost Bite Fuel. She also was an active member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. Her volunteer activity included working at A.B.
Middle School, organizing and running the Clothes Closet, and much work at her church.
Shirley was known throughout the community for all her volunteer work and charitable acts that will be remembered by all those whose lives she touched.
She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Mary Miller; brothers, Charlie, Joseph, and Bill Miller; and sisters, Mary Faulkner and Ruth Miller.
Shirley is survived by her son, Michael (Tricia) Brennard of International Falls, Mn.; stepdaughter, Jeanne Speas of Forest Lake, Mn.; step-sons, Jim and Rick Speas, both of White Bear Lake, Mn.; brothers, Jack Miller of Fort Frances, Ont., Arnie (Adrian) Miller of Calgary, Alta., Edward (Lee) Miller of Toronto, Ont., and John Miller and special friend, Marie, of Winnipeg, Man.; and sisters, Jeane McHugh of Winnipeg, Man., Elsie (Ken) Gosselin of Fort Frances, Ont., Rose Miller of Toronto, Ont., and Dorothy Miller of Toronto, Ont.
There will be no visitation.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003 at 1 p.m. from the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in International Falls.
Rev. Jeanne Dahl will officiate.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
In memoriam donations would be preferred to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in lieu of flowers.
