Sheran L. Sheppard, nee McEvoy, loved wife of Moses, passed away at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre in Thunder Bay, Ont. on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007 after a series of illnesses.
Born in Fort Frances, Ont. on Dec. 13, 1939 to Vincent and Kathleen McEvoy (nee Meagher), she married Moses on July 18, 1959 in Fort Frances.
Sheran’s principal interests were her family, and being an advocate for children and their interests.
Left to mourn her passing are the children, Desiree (Neil) Flanan of Rimby, Alta., Kevin (Gail) of Orangeville, Ont., Keith (Cynthia) of Timmins, Ont., and Erin of Thunder Bay, Ont.; five grandchildren, Chasity (John) St. Amand of Davenport, Iowa, Joey Gushulak (Amy) of Red Deer, Alta., Brooke (Vernon) Armstrong of Kakabeka Falls, Ont., Nevin Sheppard of Orangeville, Ont., and Ava Sheppard of Thunder Bay, Ont.; and five great-grandchildren, Hunter St. Amand, Dylan, Natalie, and Cooper Gushulak, and Koen Armstrong.
Also surviving are her siblings, Bea Izzard of Vancouver, B.C., Doug of Winnipeg, Man., and Dorleen Godbout, Leslie McCoy, Sandra McEvoy, and Richard McEvoy, all of Fort Frances, Ont.
Sheran was predeceased by her parents; sister, Louise Miller; and brothers, Bob, Ron, and Charles.
As per Sheran’s wishes, cremation will take place.
There will be an opportunity to celebrate the life of this magnificent woman at the Lakehead Labour Centre in Thunder Bay on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007 from 1-4 p.m.
