Shayne Quentin Perrault, 36, of Couchiching First Nation, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Oct. 1, 2010 at 106 Jourdain Cres.
Shayne was born Feb. 25, 1974 to the late Valentine Perrault Sr. and surviving mother Eleanor Perrault.
Shayne grew up on Couchiching First Nation. He was a quiet guy who had many friends from all over the area.
Shayne loved his precious children, Taylor and Chantal Perrault. He enjoyed biking and walking, which was his personal meditation. He also loved to play cards and board games with family.
He liked to watch and keep up with his hockey and football games. He enjoyed working outdoors and kept himself busy working on small projects around the house.
He leaves behind his children, Taylor and Chantal; his mother, Eleanor; brothers, Elton (Judy), Blaine (Dianne) and Valentine Jr. (Candace); and sisters, Gennine (Ian), Roxane, and Candace.
He was predeceased by his father, Valentine Ronald Perrault Sr.; sister, Pamela Dee Perrault; a baby sister at birth; aunts, Patricia Grover and Elaine Jourdain, and Florence Ness and Elsie Murray; uncles, Vernon Perrault and Joe Natawence; and grandmother, Helen Shepard.
A traditional wake was held Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010 starting at 5 p.m. at the multi-use facility at Couchiching First Nation.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Couchiching, with Fr. Francis Pudicherry officiating.
Interment took place in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Jeff Bruyere, Edwin Natawence, Brent Perrault, Steve Perrault, Mitch Perrault, Chris Mainville, and Harlan Morrisseau.
The honorary pallbearers were all his family and friends.
