Sharon Marie Desaulniers, who passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2010, is now in peace after a brief illness.
Sharon is lovingly remembered by her beloved husband of 48 years, Douglas Desaulniers; her children, Todd (Tammy), Tina (Rob), Douglas (Rosellen), and Terry (Bobbi); and her grandchildren, Cassie, Christopher, Tanner, Paris, Nathan, and Ashton.
She also is lovingly remembered by her brothers, Lloyd (Ann) and Lesley (Dianne) Sinclair.
Sharon was predeceased by her beloved son, Ricky; sister, Sandy; as well as her parents, Gordon and Audrey Sinclair.
Her passion was the love for her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was born April 26, 1945 in Fort Frances, Ont. and attended Robert Moore School. She met the love of her life, Douglas, whom she married, and then resided in Atikokan, Ont., where they raised a beautiful, loving family.
Sharon ran the Atikokan arena and baseball canteens for many years but it was the Coffee Cup, where she created good home-cooked meals, that really became her passion.
She was a definite sparkle in the community.
Sharon loved spending time out at her family camp at Perch Lake. Lots of laughter with family, and watching her grandchildren swim and have fun, brought tremendous joy to Sharon.
She will be missed and loved forever.
A funeral mass was held Saturday, July 3, 2010 at St. Patrick’s Church in Atikokan, with Fr. Theodore Nnorom officiating.
The pallbearers were Tina Shubaly and Cassie Desaulniers, with grandchildren Christopher, Tanner, Paris, Nathan, and Ashton serving as honorary pallbearers.
