It is of great sorrow that the family of Sharon Comegan announce the sudden passing of their beloved wife, mother, sister, and auntie on Friday, June 4, 2004.
Sharon was born Nov. 9, 1956 in Rainy River, Ont. to James Comegan Sr. and Hannah Comegan (nee Morrison).
Sharon was very well-known for her great cooking forte, and she loved doing her gardening and canning. She enjoyed taking care of her family and her best pet, “Buddy.”
In 1997, she graduated from the Ontario Business College with Honours as a Child and Youth Assistant. In 1999, she got her certificate from Confederation College for Personal Support Worker.
She formerly was employed at Mudges Resort doing housekeeping duties, Bayshore Health Care, Dilico Family Services, and a bartender at the Empire Hotel.
Sharon will be missed for her warmth and her love for the outdoors, her caring personality, and always being there for someone in their time of need.
Sharon will be lovingly missed by her family, children, Jason Skerget and Michelle Skerget; husband, Mirko Skerget; brothers, Albert (Caroline), Stanley, James (Linda), Noel (Darlene), Clifford Tuesday (Rose), and Gary Tuesday (Stella); and sisters, Patsy, Agnes (James), Elizabeth (Raj), Marie, Bernadine, Brenda (Wayne), Audrey, Rhonda (Joerg), and Susan (Rod).
She was predeceased by parents, James and Hannah Comegan; brothers, Ronald Comegan, Larry Comegan, and Carl Tuesday Sr.; and sisters, Debra Comegan and Star Comegan.
Sharon always will be known by her quick wit and charm, her beautiful smile, and nicknames Madame Benoit and Mrs. Cornfield. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
Visitation was held Tuesday, June 8, 2004 from 6-8 p.m. at the Blake Funeral Chapel in Thunder Bay, Ont., with a prayer service in the chapel at 8 p.m.
A traditional wake service will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at the Big Grassy First Nation Community Hall in Morson, Ont.
Traditional service will be held Thursday morning, June 10, 2004, with interment at Big Grassy Cemetery.
A tree will be planted in memory of Sharon Comegan in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.
Annual dedication service will be held Sunday, June 26, 2005.
