It is with tremendous heartbreak that the family of Shania Bob announces her passing on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014 in Thunder Bay, Ont.
Shania liked to be active. She enjoyed dancing, swimming, and going for long walks, and was a very good pow-wow dancer as a little girl.
She also enjoyed spending time with animals and was very close to her family, especially her sisters.
She leaves behind her mother, Sachena Bob (Aaron Niemi); father, Derek Perrault; sisters, Arizona Bob (Brent), Robyn Bob and her daughter, Kyli Tuesday, and Sacha Bob; grandfather, Robert (Bernice) Bob; and grandmother, Bessie Tom.
Also surviving are her aunts, Sheila (Dave) Carney, Selena (Scott) Bob-Kelly, and Shantaya Paul; uncle, Clayton Bob; cousins, TayJay, Tayvin, Jayden, Gabriel, Damien, and Dominick; as well as numerous other aunts, uncles, and extended family.
Shania was predeceased by her grandmother, Pauline Big George; grandfather, Keith Perrault; aunts, Laura Prince and Seyla Bob; and uncle, Preston Perrault.
A traditional wake was held Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014 at the Ojibways of Onigaming First Nation gymnasium.
A traditional ceremony was held Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, with interment in the Ojibways of Onigaming First Nation Cemetery.
