Sadie Korman passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 30, 2005 at the Bethesda Hospital Palliative Care Unit in Steinbach, Man. after a brief courageous fight against stomach cancer.
Born Stephania Sophie Ostrowski on Feb. 12, 1929 in the RM of Shell River, Man., Sadie was united in marriage to Peter Korman on Oct. 9, 1965.
Sadie is survived by her husband, Peter, of Steinbach, Man.; and son, Jerry, of Salt Lake City, Utah.
She also is survived by her sisters, Anne of Winnipeg, Man., Sylvia of Vancouver, B.C., Adeline of Appleton, Wis., and Rose (Jim Jones) of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and brother, John, of Gimli, Man.
Sadie was predeceased by her parents, Peter Ostrowski and Annie Ostrowski (nee Kozak); twin infant brother, William; brother, Frank; and sisters, Lena and Olga.
A private service and cremation already have taken place.
