ROSS VERNON WESTOVER

Ross Westover passed away Feb. 26, 2011 at the Geraldton District Hospital after a year-long battle with cancer.

Ross, along with his loving wife of 58 years, owned and operated several tourist resorts in the Greenstone area from 1959 until they retired in 1997.

Ross captivated both young and old with his numerous stories of his hunting and trapping adventures. He also would spend many hours carving figurines or making moose horn furniture to give away to family and friends he met over the years.
Left to mourn are his wife, Reta (nee Angus); son, Lanny Westover (April); daughters, Sherry Sawdo (Allan), Wendy Westover, and Jayne Horne; brother, Glenn Westover (Gwenn) of Fort Frances, Ont.; sister, Joyce Silander of Ear Falls, Ont.; grandchildren, Ross, Tammy, Scott, Jenna, Shawn, Kelsey, Teanna, Josh, and Rebecca; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Brennan, and Brayden.
There will be no visitation, and cremation has taken place.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial service and reception at a later date.
In memoriam donations to the Geraldton District Hospital or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
