ROSEMARIE IRETON
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Rosemarie Ireton (Plourde) on Jan. 28, 2007 at The Foothills Hospital in Calgary, Alta. with her family at her side.
Rosemarie was born May 10, 1943 in Fort Frances, Ont. to Edouard and Irene Plourde.
Mom loved family gatherings and the outdoors. She always was working at her arts and crafts.
A stroke in 2003 left her right side paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair, so she took up painting with her left hand and left us with two lovely paintings.
She never complained and always had a smile.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Thomas “Ed” and children, Jody (Celeste) of Kenora, Ont. and their sons, Chris and Kyle; Tracy (Bruce) of Balgonie, Sask. and their sons, Ryan and Thomas; Terra of Calgary, Alta. and her children, Amanda, Brandon, and Rae Lynn; David (Tara) of Calgary, Alta.; and Danny (Marie) of Calgary, Alta. and their children, Ethan, Jordan, and Lydia.
Also surviving are her sister, Pearl (Orielle) DeGagne; sister-in-law, Sharon Plourde; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Jana Rae; parents, Edouard and Irene; and brother, Edward.
In loving memory of Rosemarie, a tree will be planted at the Fish Creek Provincial Park by McInnis and Holloway Funeral Homes.
If friends so desire, in memoriam donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Roses grow in Heaven
Lord pick a bunch for me
Place them in my Mother’s arms
And tell her they’re from me
Tell her I love her and miss her
And when she turns to smile
Place a kiss upon her cheek
And hold her for awhile
Because remembering her is easy
I do it every day
But there’s an ache within my heart
That will never go away.
Always loved and remembered.
