Rose Marion Busch

It is with great sadness that the family of Rose Marion Busch (nee Boileau) announce her passing Friday, Dec. 14, 2001 at Rainycrest Home for the Aged, 550 Osborne St., Fort Frances, Ont.
Rose was born Sept. 9, 1914 to John and Marie Boileau. She was born and raised here in Fort Frances, living all of her life here.
She was past president of the Catholic Women’s League and the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She also was past president of the local Horticultural Society, and was a member of the Fort Frances Parks Board for many years.
Rose was united in marriage June 18, 1935 to Oliver John Busch, who predeceased her Jan. 1, 1960.
She also was predeceased by her parents, John and Marie Boileau; brothers, Leo, Jerry, Frank, and Louis Boileau; and sisters, Leonela Bartush, Olive Ward, and Iris Lieberg.
Rose is survived by her sons, Gerald (Yvonne) Busch of Charlottetown, P.E.I., Mervin (Barbara) Busch of Quesnel, B.C., David (Gloria) Busch of Winnipeg, Man., Jeffrey (Bernice) Busch of Calgary, Alta., and Earl (Terri) Busch of Thunder Bay, Ont.; and daughters, Judith (Stanley) Bodnarchuk of Surrey, B.C., and Pamela (Peter) Makarchuk of Fort Frances, Ont.
Also surviving are 20 grandchildren, including granddaughter Amy Marchuk of Fort Frances, Ont.; many great-grandchildren; brother, Lin (Jean) Boileau; and many nieces and nephews.
Vigil prayers were offered by the Catholic Women’s League on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2001 at 7 p.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church.
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 17, 2001 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, with Father Eugene Whyte O.M.I. officiating.
Interment will take place at a later date in Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Frances.
Pallbearers were Gerald Busch, David Busch, Jeffrey Busch, Earl Busch, Stanley Bodnarchuk, and Guy Bodnarchuk.
