ROSE MARIE MORRISSEAU

Rose Morrisseau, 55, of 302 W. Third St., Duluth, Mn., passed away at her home Tuesday, May 1, 2001.
She was born Dec. 22, 1945 in Fort Frances, Ont. Rose was raised and schooled in Couchiching First Nation. In the late 1960s, she moved to Duluth, where she held various jobs in the area and raised her family.
She was predeceased by her father.
Rose is survived by her mother, Eva Morrisseau of Couchiching First Nation, Ont.; five children, Scott Morrisseau and wife, Barb Gosselin, and Gerry Morrisseau, all of St. Paul, Mn., Stacey Morrisseau of Duluth, Mn., Sherry and husband, Darryl Mason, of Kilarney, Man., and Dane Morrisseau of St. Paul, Mn.; and numerous grandchildren.
Also surviving are one brother, Wes Morrisseau and wife, Deb, of Barwick, Ont.; one sister, Betty Ann and husband, Leonard Walsh, of Fort Frances, Ont.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 7, 2001 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Couchiching First Nation. Father Eugene Whyte O.M.I. officiated, with interment in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Couchiching First Nation.
Visitation was held Sunday, May 6, 2001 from 7-9 p.m. at Green Funeral Home, with parish prayers offered at 7:30 p.m. led by Deacon Elmer Mainville.
Pallbearers were Wilf Morrisseau, Barry Bruyere, Ken Morrison, Jeff Bruyere, Robert Morrisseau, and Leonard Walsh.
