ROSARIO RENE

Rosario Rene, 96, of Pinewood, Ont., passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011 at the Rainy River Health Centre in Rainy River, Ont. with his family by his side.
Rosario was born in Quebec on July 14, 1914 to Joseph and Regina Rene. He came to the Rainy River District with his father and brother in the mid-1930s, settling in Nelles Township, where they homesteaded.
Rosario logged and farmed for many years, along with driving school bus.
He was united in marriage to Eveyln Seguin in 1949.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Solange (Bill) Bingleman of Nipigon, Ont., John Rene of Pinewood, Ont., Rose-Marie (Don) Cunningham of Ignace, Ont., Claudette Rene of Kenora, Ont., Leona Rene of Thunder Bay, Ont., and Maurice Rene of Pinewood, Ont.
Also surviving are his grandchildren, Susan (Brent) Lemieux, Donna (Tony) Buskens, Julie (Bob) McLeod, Paula (Jack) Covert, Richard (Melissa) Cunningham, Amaryah Rene (Harvey Brant), Celeste and Rene-Mathers (Josh Kelly); and great-grandchildren, Morgan Lemieux, Kendra Lemieux, Delaney McLeod, Davis McLeod, Jackson Covert, Xavier Cunningham, Peyton Cunningham, and Fynn Kelly.
Rosario was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn, and his eight siblings.
Family and friends were received Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. at the Northridge Funeral Home in Emo, Ont.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011 at 1 p.m. from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Bergland, Ont.
Interment will take place in Pinewood Catholic Cemetery in Pinewood, Ont. at a later date.
The pallbearers will be Ernest Seguin, Dave Seguin, Bert Seguin, Bill Bingleman, Alan Mathers, and Don Cunningham.
