RONALD ROBERT JACK (Manitoo Giishig)

It is with great sorrow that the family of Ronald Jack announces his passing on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation.
He was born July 1, 1954 in Kenora, Ont. to John Bull Sr. and Ida Jourdain. He was raised at Ojibways of Onigaming First Nation by his grandparents, Stewart Jack and Mary Green.
Ron was a very spiritual person who participated in many naming ceremonies and dancing at Pow-Wows. He loved being on the road, driving his truck or taking a tour on his motorcycle.
He also served as a band councillor for Ojiways of Onigaming First Nation in the 1990s.
Family was very important to him, He adored his grandchildren and was very excited at becoming a great-grandfather in May.
Ron will be missed by his wife, Shirley Allen; children, Tesa (Alvin) Fidler and their children, Lynette and Allison; Tracy (Lloyd) Sakakeep and their children, Seegwun, Madelynne, and Lenaya; Rawn Beardy; Ashley Allen (Paul Penagin) and their children, Lakota, Montana, Abby, Sam, and Rylee; Cedric Jack; Chris Allan; and Eunice Johnson.
He also will be missed by his adopted family, Stephanie Perrault, Cindy Shebagegit, and Frank Shebagegit.
Also surviving are his siblings, John Henry (Ruby) Bull and their sons, Ryan, Johnathan, Troy, and Dale; Roger Wade (Emily) Bull and their children, Jason, Derek, Charlene, Wade, and Chealsea; Clifford (Amelia) Bull and their children, Cynthia, Carrie, Colin, and Ashley; Kathie Jack (Doug Sinclair) and their children, Kevin, Blair, Leelan, and Chris; Corinne (Jacques) Jourdain and their children, Dan, Jason, Adam, and Talon; and Virginia Big George (Jimmie Spruce Jr.) and their children, Rachel (Roger), Shelly, and Jenny (Tony).
He also is survived by his stepmother, Evelyn Bull; aunt, Janet Bruyere; and in-laws, Norman “Acer” (Lois), Charlene, Tracy (Rene), Sandy (Kevin), Terry (Michelle), and Chelsea.
Ron was predeceased by his parents; grandparents; grandson, Peter Wapisheshi; and nephew, Christopher Lee Jack.
A traditional wake will be held Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 3 p.m. at the Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation gymnasium, with a traditional service in the morning of Friday, April 11, 2014.
The pallbearers will be Rawn Beardy, Cedric Jack, Jay Jourdain, Dani Jourdain, Chris Allen, Kevin Jack, Kevin Tuesday, Rene Pitremont, Paul Penagin, and Terry Allan.
The honourary pallbearers will be Clifford Bull, Roger Bull, Edmund “Toy” Indian, Ron Kelly, Jim Shebagegit, Blair Jack, Alvin Fiddler, Doug Sinclair, Jimmie Spruce Jr., and Lloyd Sakakeep.
