RONALD LYLE ‘RON’ JEWETT

Ronald “Ron” Jewett, 62, of 550 Osborne St., Fort Frances, Ont., passed away Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances.
He was born Sept. 21, 1939 in Emo, Ont. to the late Lyle and Geniveve Jewett. Ron was raised in North Branch, Ont. He loved the country life, and enjoyed hunting and being with his family.
Ron is survived by his daughter, Noni and husband, Murray Bratt, of Hinton, Alta.; and three grandchildren, Sandra, Brien, and Laura.
Also surviving are four brothers, Murray of Stratton, Ont., Norman and wife, Donna, of Elk Point, Alta., Ernie, and Paul and wife, Carolyn, all of Dryden, Ont.; four sisters, Marlene and husband, Clinton Wood, of Logan Lake, B.C., Sharon and husband, Bert LeFloch, of Winnipeg, Man., Carol Pollard (Jewett) of Fort Frances, Ont., and Marjorie and husband, Howard Haw, of Stratton, Ont.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances. Pastor Ken Johnson officiated, with interment in Pineridge Cemetery in North Branch.
Friends visited Monday, Sept. 16, 2002 from 7 until 8 p.m. at Green Funeral Home.
Honourary pallbearers were Mickey Karney, Phillip Wood, Ralph Olson, Ed Jewett, and Melvin Williamson.
