RONALD BARR JR.

Ronald “Ron” Barr Jr., 47, of Fort Frances, Ont., passed away suddenly Monday, March 3, 2003.
Ron was born July 15, 1955 in Fort Frances, but he lived in Burriss, Ont. until he was seven years old. In 1961, his family moved to Atikokan, Ont., where they lived until moving to Sapawe, Ont. in 1966.
He loved living in Sapawe, where he was surrounded by lumber and water. He loved canoeing, swimming, and biking. Ron also had a natural ability to communicate with children.
Ron was a very simple man; the littlest things were the biggest to him.
Ron worked at NorFab, where he was employed for 10 years. He was at home working with wood.
Ron was predeceased by his father, Ronald Barr Sr.; and one brother, Angus Barr.
He is survived by his mother, Leona (nee Godin) of Atikokan, Ont.; daughter, Tanus of Edmonton, Alta.; two sisters, Gisel (Dennis) McCarthy of Atikokan, Ont., and Elaine Barr of Prescott, Ont.; and three brothers, Harold Barr of Thunder Bay, Ont., Glen (Phylis) Barr of Atikokan, Ont., and Tom Barr of Kingston, Ont.
He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Sheri, Jennifer, Rian, Harley, Raven, Savana, and Natasha; and two great-nephews.
He will always be remembered by a special friend, Carolyn Fedorak, and her daughters, Priscilla and her children, Joey, Tana, Taylor, Chandlor, and Logan, and Petrina (Kurt) and her daughter, Chelsea.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 6, 2003 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 7, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances. Rev. Marietta Marshall will officiate, with interment in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances.
Pallbearers will be Brian Gamie, Ray Lauzon, Glen Chepil, Pat Gushuliak, Arnie Johnson, Rheal DeGagne, Patrick Lemieux, and Chris Brow.
The honourary pallbearers will be Mel DeGagne and everyone who worked with Ron at NorFab.
