Roger William Langhorne Greenhalgh, born February 13, 1941, in Gravesend, Kent, England, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025, following a lengthy illness.
Roger was a dedicated Mechanical Engineer whose career took him and his family across Canada before he ultimately settled in Thunder Bay. He was a social and spirited man, known for his love of swimming, stamps and bridge and for the connections he built through these endeavours.
He is survived by his daughters Chloe Greenhalgh (Darryl Hughes) and Lucinda Greenhalgh (Sherri Dennis), as well as Jennifer Greenhalgh (Paul Pirie).

Roger held Masonry close to his heart, and the family extends their heartfelt thanks to the Freemasons for the friendship and support they showed him in recent years. The family also wishes to thank Fordwich Village for their care and compassion over the past few months.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on October 25, 2025, at the Valhalla Hotel, Viking Room, Thunder Bay. His ashes will be scattered on the Quantock Hills, Somerset, UK, next spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation Roger’s memory.
