Roger was born in Emo, Ont. Growing up he played sports, worked at a carnival, and had many exciting adventures. He was truly a jack-of-all-trades; he loved cooking, gardening, and woodworking and was exceptional at all three.
Roger met the love of his life, Pam, in 1977 in International Falls, Mn. Two years later, they were married.
Roger was a passionate man who cherished his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed planning every detail of family vacations, and spending quality time with his family was an utmost priority. He took his family on many memorable adventures.
He loved being in nature, and enjoyed fishing, camping, and picking berries. He knew how to enjoy the simple moments in life, like gazing at the stars. Roger also had a passion for music of all genres and often played his music for all to hear.
He was a selfless, kind-hearted man who treated people with respect and often put the needs of others ahead of his own. He found a new passion for life after his liver transplant.
In his memory, we ask you consider becoming an organ or blood donor to provide the gift of life to others as we were so blessed by these amazing gifts.
Roger made a conscious choice to be joyous and grateful for every day. Therefore we are choosing to remember and celebrate his life.
