ROCHELLE GLADU

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Rochelle Lyn Gladu (nee Sutton) in her home in Thunder Bay, Ont. on Wednesday, April 30, 2014.
Rochelle was born Nov. 24, 1959 to Ronald and Cecelia in Fort Frances, Ont.
She previously was married to Joseph Gladu in 1980, and she lived her life in and between Fort Frances and Thunder Bay.
Rochelle was a passionate cook and worked for many logging camps and restaurants. She always will be remembered for her generosity and willingness to give her all to anyone who needed help.
Rochelle is survived by her mother, Cecelia Martinez (nee Long) of Bullhead, Ariz.; daughter, Rachael Gladu-Boland (Shawn) of Thunder Bay, Ont.; sons, Randall Roth (Brittany) of Thunder Bay, Ont. and Daniel Gladu (Alexis) Kanu of Winnipeg, Man.; and her grandson, Wellington Kanu.
She also is survived by her sister, Tammy (Rob) Burghardt of Fort Frances, Ont.; brother, Shane (Pamela) Sutton of Fort Worth, Tex.; step-sisters, Dana (Dennis) Helder and Marla (Jack) Thomson of Fort Frances, Ont.; as well as five nieces and many cousins.
Rochelle was predeceased by her brother, Randy Sutton in 1980; her father, Ronald Sutton in 2002; her step-mother, Erma Boland in 2009; and her niece, Jennifer Sutton in 2013.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland St., Thunder Bay, presided by Rev. Lloyd Ivany.
Cremation will follow, with interment to take place in Fort Fances.
Visitation for family and friends will begin one hour prior to the service.
An additional memorial service will be held Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 5 p.m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Fort Frances (824 Victoria Ave.)
A luncheon will be served.
If friends so desire, in memoriam donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
