ROBERT WAYNE CARLSON

It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Robert W. (Buba) Carlson at the age of 48.
Dear husband, father, son, brother, and uncle, Rob was a family man who enjoyed hunting but had no patience for fishing. He had a passion in finding anything mechanical that needed repair and giving it new life. Many treasures he’d find on eBay in less-than-desirable condition, but was always looking for a new challenge or project to keep him busy.
He also knew exactly how to find assistance when he came across a problem and needed an extra hand (you know who you are), but the end results were always the same.
Perfection was his motto, anything less was not acceptable. Nothing could ever be too fast or too loud. Paradise for Rob was being on the lake with his family.
He also had a love for music, and would spend many hours playing guitar and entertaining any audience he could find.
Rob was born Oct. 5, 1959, in Fort Frances, Ont. to Wayne and Judy (nee Wilson) Carlson. He was united in marriage on March 15, 1986 to the love of his life, Sue (nee Mousley).
Rob will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Wayne and Judy; wife, Sue; and their sons, Kurtis and Mitchell.
He also will be sadly missed by his sister, Sherry (Terry) Bonner-Vickers and their children, Brittany and Kailey; brother, Kurt (Petrina) Carlson and their children, Chelsea and Logan; sister Lisa (Bill) Drazenovich and their children, Mark, Hannah, and Holly; father- and mothers-in law, Warren (Ann) Mousley and Mary Lou Collett; and numerous in-laws, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of Rob’s life will be held Friday, Feb. 1, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Fort Frances, with Rev. Brian Keifer officiating.
Interment will take place at a later date.
The pallbearers will be Kurtis Carlson, Mitchell Carlson, Kurt Carlson, and Carl Carlson. The honourary pallbearers will be all of Rob’s family and friends.
If desired, in memoriam donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
